What to check before ordering
Start with the compound identity and the exact material specification required by the laboratory. Confirm the stated form, nominal quantity, lot identifier, storage information, and whether the supplier provides a certificate tied to that lot.
Use supplier copy as an index of information, not as a substitute for analytical documentation. A useful product record makes it possible to connect the vial, the lot, and the associated report without guessing.

Purity is not the same as identity
HPLC is commonly used to estimate chromatographic purity. It does not, by itself, prove that the main peak is the intended sequence. Mass spectrometry provides a separate identity signal by comparing measured mass with the expected material.

A traceable record helps a laboratory document which lot entered a workflow and compare results across runs. It does not guarantee a research outcome, biological activity, sterility, or suitability for a particular assay unless those properties were specifically tested and reported.
